Support Beyond Birth
Postpartum and Lactation Support
ABOUT:
Hi, I'm Bailey! I am a momma, dog mom, and wife. I enjoy spending time out doors, reading, golfing, and sharing life with others.
After becoming a mom almost two years ago, I realized that the support for new parents or parents with babies, was lacking. Not only was there a deficit of options for care available but some of the care was, for lack of better words, less than great. I struggled with breastfeeding, lactation, and postpartum anxiety and I knew I just needed to help other parents going through similar challenges of caring for a new baby. I loved talking with other parents; sharing challenges, sweet moments, and tips n tricks. I could talk to new parents for hours and never tire of hearing about the challenges and joys of welcoming a new baby into a family. Therefore, I decided to take action. Now, I'm in the process of getting certified to be a postpartum doula and a lactation counselor. I have completed all of the course work for certification and I am just needing some professional hours before being fully certified. I have not decided whether I will make a full-time career out of this or simply just offer to support to people when needed. All I know right now is that postpartum support is lacking and I would like to help change that.
